Once a month, on a Friday evening at Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle we turn the Great Hall into a little jazz club. Wind down from the week and tee up for the weekend over a relaxed and tasty three-course supper. Dine at your own table but mix with other guests and make new friends. Listen to the music and dance if you wish. Then relax into the weekend with an overnight stay in one of our gorgeous rooms followed by a leisurely Champagne breakfast.

Friday 24th February - Bublé, Rat Pack and Swing Night with The Paul James Band featuring Josh McLean on vocals and a special guest appearance by Laura Adams.
A sophisticated, stylish and cool set of timeless classics; as popular today as ever. Featuring the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bobby Darin, as well as modern day crooners such as Jamie Cullum and the superstar of swing - Michael Bublé
Friday 30th March - Jazz Standards featuring guest soloist Phil Hudson on guitar
The Paul James Band featuring Laura Adams and guitarist Phil Hudson. Since being awarded 'European Young Jazz Soloist of the Year' in 1991, Phil has gone on to tour and record with a host of names including Tina Turner, Beverly Craven, Mica Paris, Geri Halliwell, The Lighthouse Family, Omar and Blue. Phil returns to his native North East to reunite with his friends as guest soloist in The Paul James Band with a programme of Latin and Jazz standards and a few compositions from Phil's recent album 'Somewhere Else'.
Friday 18th May - Latin Jazz
An evening of Latin Jazz from The Paul James Band featuring guest percussionists Carlos 'El Tipo' Rivera and Paco Rivera from The Geordie Latinos. The band will be performing the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Herbie Hancock, Ray Barretto and many more Latin Jazz Legends!
Friday 29th June -The Paul James Band
Presenting a sophisticated blend of Latin, Jazz and Soul. A programme which features lead vocalist Laura Adams performing a selection of timeless classics from Billie Holiday to Corinne Bailey Rae.

Back by popular demand The Paul James Band featuring their highly acclaimed Vocalist Laura Adams performing some of the very best from the Great American Songbook with a selection of Jazz and Swing favourites made famous by artistes such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé
The evening kicks off at 7.00pm with live music from 8.00pm until 11.00pm. Dress as casually as you like.
