Planning a wedding has become simpler, smarter - and much more fun. Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle's leading, independent, boutique hotel, has launched a dedicated wedding website to help couples organise their big day with the minimum effort but maximum support. In addition, couples booking the hotel will soon be able to have their own 'mini-wedding site' to share news and photgraphs with friends.
Clean and sharp, with plenty of photographs and clear text, the wedding website (www.jdhweddings.co.uk also accessible through www.jesmonddenehouse.co.uk) provides all the information a couple needs to decide what sort of wedding wuold suit them.
Whether they want to marry at the hotel or use it purely for a reception, have two guests or 100 guests, celebrate with an informal lunch or a full-course banquet, they can browse and make their choices online. They can opt for an all-inclusive package or put together their own bespoke wedding. They can even find those essential extras, such as a florist and a photographer, and check dates for availability.
"Planning a wedding can be daunting, and we know from experience that couples have lots of questions," says marketing manager, Nicky Sherman. "The website pre-empts a lot of those questions, so people have all the information, literally, at their fingertips. Of course, our wedding co-ordinators, Kate Harland and Abi Young, are always available but the website should make the process easier and, hopefully, more relaxed and fun".
From October, couples can also have their own, password-protected, 'mini wedding site', which their guests can access for news and information such as gift lists, bedroom booking, photographs and the couples' blogs on their pre-wedding nerves!
The good news doesn't stop there. The hotel will be launching a special package for couples who want to renew their vows which can also be arranged on-line.
The hotel's next Wedding Fair is Sunday 9th October, where you can talk to a range of experts including photographers, florists and dress designers, as well as view the hotel's wedding venues. (12pm to 4pm, free entry).
